The Order of Omega serves to recognize outstanding leadership in fraternity and sorority systems on college and university campuses, and the recognized leadership serves to promote fraternity and sorority life on campuses, and outstanding leadership requires being a role model for fraternity and sorority chapter leaders and members.

History:
The Order of Omega is a national leadership honor society, which was founded at the University of Miami by a group of outstanding fraternity men in 1959. The goal of the organization was to recognize individuals for their leadership and service in the Greek community and the University.
Purpose:
First, to recognize those students who have attained a high standards of leadership in inter-Greek activities, to encourage them to continue along this line, and to inspire others to strive for similar conspicuous attainment.
Second, to bring together the most representative fraternity and sorority members, and to create an organization, which will help to mold the sentiment of the institution on questions of local and intercollegiate affairs.
Third, to bring together members of the faculty, alumni, and student members of the institution’s fraternities and sororities on a basis of mutual interest, understanding, and helpfulness.
Qualifications:
The qualifications for membership in the Order of Omega shall be character, scholarship, service and leadership within the Greek community and Wright State University. To be eligible for membership in The Order, a student shall meet the following minimum requirements
- One full year at Wright State University
- Junior or Senior academic standing
- Cumulative average GPA of 3.0
- Be in good standing within their individual organization at Wright State University.
