Our Greek community takes pride in it's 40+ year history at Wright State University. We are host to 18 fraternity and sorority chapters committed to excellence in scholarship, leadership and service. At WSU, fraternity and sorority members share in service, scholastic, philanthropic and leadership experiences while also participating in slef governance. The staff in the Office of Student Activities, in collaboration with chapter members, over see 4 executive councils; The Greek Affairs Council, which serves as the governing body for all Greek councils and organizations, the Interfraternity Council, National Pan-Hellenic Council and National Panhellenic Conference. These councils provide support in the areas of programming, budgeting, council management, leadership development, membership recruitment, public relations, policy interpretation, and scholastic achievement to their 400 members.

The Order of Omega serves to recognize outstanding leadership in fraternity and sorority systems on college and university campuses, and the recognized leadership serves to promote fraternity and sorority life on campuses, and outstanding leadership requires being a role model for fraternity and sorority chapter leaders and members.

Please stayed tuned for more information regarding initiation information.

The Greek letters RHO LAMBDA stand for PANHELLENIC LEADERSHIP, respectively. Those who are leaders light a torch in the darkness for others to follow, and the flame is the symbol of Rho Lambda. Although membership was originally intended for women whose organizations belonged to campus Panhellenics, any sorority woman is now eligible for membership as long as she meets the membership selection criteria.

The purpose of Rho Lambda is to honor those women within the sorority community who have exhibited the highest qualities of leadership and service to their Greek community and their sorority. They are women who have furthered the ideals and principles of the Greek community throughout their years of sorority affiliation.

The colors of Rho Lambda are crimson and gold. The pin is a broken triangle with a crimson inset bearing the Greek leaders Rho Lambda in gold.

A Sigma Rho Gamma is a sorority woman with the goal of helping someone who has the dream and hope of someday being in a sorority, too! She is there to listen no matter when or where. The recruitment guides are trained to answer questions about recruitment, sorority life, and college in general. She is a walking encyclopedia about the Greek community and more. Any questions and concerns you might have will be kept strictly confidential between you and your recruitment counselor.
