In 1992, Zeta Tau Alpha adopted The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation as the Fraternity's national philanthropy. At the 1996 International Convention, the Fraternity voted to increase Zeta Tau Alpha's support of breast cancer awareness by backing all organizations committed to breast cancer research, education, screening and treatment.
Each year, members distribute one million waterproof shower cards which identify how to perform breast self-examinations; volunteer at more than 86 Race for the CureŽ events nationwide; and co-sponsor the Survivor Program for the RaceŽ series. For more information, visit the Race for the Cure Web site.
Eta Pi chapter members at Wright State University frequently distribute shower cards on the quad and participate annually in the local Race for the Cure. For more information regarding our philanthropy, please feel free to contact our chapter philanthropy chair or check in the greek office.
