• Meeting called to order at 6:00 p.m.

• Membership Dues/Renewal Dues

New and returning members paid dues – $10. First time members and returning members paid on October 15, 2010 and will not have to pay until October 2011.

• New members: Phillip Elam, Sandy Bialik, Nicki Williams, Paul Ciaravolo, Liz Koch, Beth Hathaway, Tricia McEldowney, Maggie Zakri, Elise Kelly, Misti Spillman, Jeremy Katz, Noel Rihm, Chris Bills, David Brownell

• Committee Reports

Established two new committees – the T-Shirt Committee and Trip Committee. Several members volunteered. David Manges and Paul Ciaravolo will be in charge of the Trip Committee. Tricia McEldowney and Liz Koch will be in charge of the T-Shirt Committee.

• MAC Symposium – October

No one planned to attend the Fall Symposium. No further discussion.

• MAC Conference – St Paul, MN – April 28-30, 2010

Several items were discussed pertaining to upcoming MAC Conference. For more information visit, http://2011mac.wordpress.com/.

• Club Poster – Poster Session – the club or individuals from the program have the opportunity to present a poster at the conference.
• Costs – the cost of the Conference is affordable. Transportation and conference registration will be covered. Since several members of the WSU archives staff are attending, WSU transportation will be provided. SAA will cover the group’s registration fee. There may be a possibility that hotel fees will be partially paid; it depends on student interest and number attending. Currently, food and lodging are the only expenses not covered.
• Contest – Name our New Program – MAC members were invited to participate in naming a new program that will start at the St. Paul MAC Conference. Submit your best suggestion by October 31, at http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/mac2011navigator.  
• MAC membership – Individuals do not have to join MAC to attend the Conference, but it provides students with additional opportunities to network professionals in the field. Last year the Conference held a new members dinner at a trendy restaurant in Chicago. I highly recommend joining. • Member recognition

In order to recognize members of the SAA Student Chapter, two options were discussed. The first option was a membership card. The second option was a certificate, which can be added to a portfolio. The majority voted for a certificate.  
 

• T-Shirt Committee

Tricia McEldowney and Liz Koch volunteered to be in charge t-shirt logistics. Further discussion of the t-shirt designs and voting will take place at the next chapter meeting. I will contact you once we are ready to take orders and t-shirt sizes.
 

• Trip Committee

David Manges and Paul Ciaravolo volunteered to be in charge of the Trip Committee. The chapter agreed on a one day public institution tour and visit, ranging within one hour driving distance. Tentative date of is set for February.
