What is Rugby?
Rugby is a most commonly perceived as a mix of American Football and soccer. While it borrows certain traits from each, it is an entirely different sport. The game is typically fast paced, involving passing, kicking, and tackling. According to many rugby experts the orgins date back to a soccer game in England during the 1820's when a young lad by the name of William Webb Ellis picked up the ball and ran with it. In the USA rugby is a sport that is not very recognizable but is growing in popularity. Many colleges and universities are forming clubs and competing locally and nationally. Worldwide rugby is played in more than 100 countries by both men and women of all ages.
