Hey Raiders!

My name is Karli Lightner. I’m serving as President of the Residential Community Association for the
2012-2013 academic year. I’m so excited for the upcoming year RCA has planned, and I hope you will be
attending many of the events and activities we have scheduled.

I’m double majoring in Communication Studies and Organizational Leadership with a minor in
Marketing, so being a part of RCA the last two years has really given me the experience I hoped to gain
in my student organization involvement.

If you are a student living on campus, I highly encourage you to become a part of the Student Weekend
Activities Team (SWAT) and to join your Community Council. Many of the current student leaders who
are involved on campus were residents who got involved with their Community Council in the residence
halls during their first year of college. RCA gives out plenty of opportunities for residents to grow and
become leaders.
