Keynote Speakers
Billy Staples
    He was energetic, touching, genuine, and compassionate. He believes in building relationships with students in order to touch their lives in the deepest way possible. He has authored a book of short stories from athletes about their own triumphs in and out of the classroom. He was an engaging and inspiring speaker. After his talk he signed copies of his book and talked with people from the audience. He is working on getting more books with short stories from famous individuals, in order to inspire young people. Andy Hargreaves
   
He presented his thoughts and ideas on sustaining educators and education. He was thought provoking, and intelligent. He is a well-educated theorist of education.

William Richardson
   
He gave a presentation on how important it is to use Web 2.0 in the classroom. He believes that in order to prepare students for the future they need to be exposed to the technology that will be a part of their daily lives. He believes in using blogs, wikis, and podcasts to reach todays more technologically savvy youth. Hehas written a book about how to incorporate those technologies into your lesson plans. Andrea Peterson
   
She talked to us at the formal dinner the last night of the conference. She is the 2007 State Teacher of the Year in Washington. She was enthusiastic about teaching as a profession. She encourages teachers to meet the needs of their students, administrators, and their own goals. She doesn't want teachers to sell themselves short and accomplish minimal goals. She wants all teachers to work on succeeding beyond the expectations of others.
