We are Wright State University Cricket Club (WSU cricket club) located in Dayton, Ohio. WSU cricket club is a non-profit organization affiliated to sports club council, Wright State university.
WSU Cricket Club is a student organization at Wright State comprised of international graduate students from cricket playing nations such as India and Sri Lanka. WSU Cricket participates annually in the Midwest Cricket Tournament (MCT) league playing against teams from all over Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana as well as the UCC T20 Tournament. The Club was formed in 2003 and had some decent showings in MCT until 2005. The club took a sabbatical in 2006 and was re-constituted in 2007 in its current incarnation. Our best showing has been in the inaugural T20 championship where we finished Runners-up losing closely to Columbus Cricket Club (scorecard). The results in MCT have been more tempered, where we have not gone past the Quarter-final stage losing in the playoffs to UCC each time (scorecard). This is partially due to roster atrophy over the summer where students typically travel or take up internships. We hope to remedy that anomaly this year.
