Fall Jamboree
An annual event, the Jamboree has potential of turning into a huge
program. A week long celebration of our Heritage, the Jamboree includes a
different each day of the week. Some of these events include: Ol’ Skool
Gym Night, Spades Tourney, Gospel Fest, Special Speakers, Skating Party |
Willie Clancy II Gospel Fest
Held during the week of Fall Jamboree, the Gospel fest is named after
a fallen WSU alumnus. Our love is celebrated with a night of praise, song
and dance in memory of all loved ones lost in the past year. |

Heritage Ball
The Heritage Ball is an annual event held in February of each year
in honor of Black History Month. |

Miss Black Wright State Pageant
Held every spring, the pageant gives a chance to young women on campus
to express their creativity. A scholarship of $1,000 is rewarded to the winner.
Scenes include Business Attire, Eveningwear, Talent and Question and Answer. |
Comedy Explosion
Every year the BSU has a comedy show. There is no set quarter for when
this event will occur, so keep your ears open. During the past years we have
had such acts as:

Special Speakers
In efforts to educate from those who have succeeded. The BSU has had
special guest speakers that include:
Author Omar Tyree (Fly Girl, A Do Right Man)
Rap Mogul Russell Simmons (Founder of Def Jam Records)

Community Service
To give back to the community the BSU has implemented many community
service projects. An annual event, the MLK march, occurs every year
on the MLK observed holiday.
