Alpha Beta Lambda Chapter
Membership Requirements

Members begin their time with Alpha Phi Omega as pledges.  All pledges must go through a 6 to 10 week long pledge period.  During the pledge period, pledges learn abou fraternity at the National and Chapter level.  They must complete service hours, pay dues, and attend meetings.  The pledge period is a chance for people to get a taste of Alpha Phi Omega before fully committing to it.

During the pledge period, pledges will be assigned a Big.  A Big is an active member in the chapter.  A Big's job is to give advice to his or her pledges; make them feel welcome, and in general, show them "the ropes" of being in a fraternity.

At the end of the pledge period, pledges will be activated at a cerimony and will be entitled to all the right and responsibilities of a full member.
