In addition to food and informationm we will be kicking off our year long community art project celebrating and claiming Free/Responsible Speech: Womanfolk. This will be a collaboration of your voices-tell us, draw us, write us, your stroy and at the end of the year we will quilt our voices together to display in the Women's Center. Quilting is a tradintional, ritual, folk art that tells a story, can serve as a political statement of resitstance, and carries with it a rich history of sentimentality, symbols, and a language of all its own. Lets' make the Woman's voice stronger together. Hope to see you there!
