FIT BOWL -- FALL CARDIO PROGRAM

Fit Bowl is a new exciting program that will keep your mind on exercise.  This is an eight week cardiovascular program centered around the college football season and the Bowl Championship Series.  Follow your favorite team and travel to the bowl of your choice while burning calories along the way.  Your goal is to travel the amount of miles from WSU to one of the four major bowls listed below.  The idea is that one minute of exercise equals one mile traveled.  Be sweet to your goal and travel to the Sugar Bowl or go for it all to the parade of roses and the historic Rose Bowl game.

The Fit Bowl is designed for all fitness levels and anyone with a Wright One ID card.  Pick up a program from the Campus Recreation office and chart your miles/minutes you work out each week.  You can log your minutes/miles at the Recreation Desk or via e-mail (Similar to the way you logged your hours for the Cross Ohio).  Shirts will be awarded to the participants that reach the bowl of their choice.  (But you must get to the bowl game before time is up)

*Sign-up starts Tuesday, September 5th 2006

*Deadline for sign-up Monday, September 18th 2006

*Fit Bowl starts Monday, September 18th 2006

*Fit Bowl ends Friday, November 10th 2006

WOMEN'S CENTER MONDAY FILM SERIES

September 11

BRING YOUR LUNCH!

Film Description: “I Wonder What You Will Remember of September,” 2004, 27 min.

Cecilia Cornejo presents a haunting personal response to the events of September 11, 2001, informed and complicated by her status as a Chilean citizen living in the U.S. With evocative imagery from both past and present, Cornejo weaves together her own fading childhood memories, her parent’s vivid recollections of the September 11, 1973 coup in Chile that brought the notorious dictator Augusto Pinochet to power; and post-9/11 conversations with her own young daughter. The resulting montage thoughtfully explores how personal and collective histories.
