Upcoming Events

Urban Nights

Friday, Sept. 12

5 to 10 p.m.

Multiple locations throughout downtown Dayton

FREE

Businesses and restaurants offer special discounts, artists and galleries open their doors to the public, musicians and entertainers of all kinds perform throughout the center city, and downtown’s most impressive urban living options are open for tours. Close to a hundred creative places and spaces will be a part of the event, including locations throughout downtown, the Oregon Arts District and the Wright-Dunbar Business Village. More than 25,000 people packed the streets in May, so come down and join us!

The best way to see as much as possible during Urban Nights is to walk, so remember to wear comfortable shoes! Free trolleys will be provided by the Greater Dayton RTA to help you reach venues in more distant areas such as Wright-Dunbar.

Just a few highlights of this Urban Nights:

  • Check out the Taste of the Miami Valley at RiverScape that night! More than 25 local restaurants will have fare to sample.
  • Ladyfest Dayton. Ladyfest is a community-based, nonprofit global music and arts festival for female artists.
  • Open House & Arts Market at the Schuster Center and the Victoria Theatre. Learn more about these outstanding facilities and take backstage tours. Listen in on an open rehearsal with the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra in the Mead Theatre. Shop at the Arts Market in the Wintergarden, where you can purchase gift shop items from the various companies and bid on auction items, too.

Parking

We're pleased to offer free parking again! The lots located at 37 E. Third St. and 124 E. Second St. will be open for free parking that night.
