NOMINATE A PROFESSOR FOR EXCELLENCE IN TEACHING WI CLASSES
In addition to ENG 101 and 102, all students are required to take at least four writing intensive (WI) courses in GE and two WI courses in their major. The Writing Across the Curriculum Committee would like to recognize faculty who have done an outstanding job of incorporating writing into these classes. Professors who are selected will be honored at an event in the spring and featured in a special publication distributed to all faculty.
To nominate a professor, please send us the professor’s name, the name of the course, and a short answer to one (or more) of the following questions:
How did she or he use writing assignments to help you learn the course material?
What did he or she do to help you improve your writing abilities?
What did your professor do that allowed you to experience the kind of writing you will be likely to do in that field?
You may nominate more than one professor. You may nominate professors who taught classes for this academic year (Fall ’07, Winter ’08, and Spring ’08)
Please submit your nominations no later than April 15, 2008. Nominations should be sent to:

| PROJECT PROM
Wright State's Project Linus, a nonprofit organization, will be hosting a prom dress swap at Fairborn High School on February 2, 2008. This is a great opportunity for you to clean out your closet and get rid of your old formal dresses and make some fast money at the same time!
We will charge you ten dollars for each dress that you wish to sell. You put the price on your dress and at the end of the day if your dress is sold you walk away with all the profit. Your only investment is the ten dollar entry fee. If no one buys your dress you can pick it up and take it home.
We are also accepting dress donations; however, we will only take donations before the day of the sale. Please e-mail Cimmeron Taylor at taylor.223@wright.edu, to work out details of donating your dress.
All proceeds will benefit Project Linus to purchase fleece so that we can reach our goal of 1,000 blankets.
