ENRICH YOUR EXPERIENCE! ENROLL IN THIS EXCITING AND ENRICHING CLASS!

EDL 411/661 - Student Development/Diversity Issues 
Spring Quarter 2008, 2 Credit Hours 
Tuesday, 3 pm—5 pm 
 
This course will provide a multicultural and multidisciplinary opportunity for students to explore and broaden their understanding of the interaction between privilege and oppression in the United States. 
 
The aim of the course is to familiarize students with the impact of racism, classism, sexism, heterosexism, religious oppression, and ableism within society.

TUTORS NEEDED

There is a need for tutors in one of the Dayton Public Elementary Schools for grades Pre-K – 8. This opportunity involves a 2.5 hour training that will be arranged before the end of finals week of Winter Quarter. A finger printing and a background check are also required (at university cost). Actual tutoring will start during the first week of Spring Quarter and will involve a 2 hour tutoring commitment per week. Opportunities currently exist for Fridays at 12:15 p.m. – 1:45 p.m. or 1:45 p.m. – 3:15 p.m., but it may be possible to arrange other times as well.

JOIN THE NEW WRIGHT STATE UNIVERSITY ASTRONOMY CLUB

Formed in October of last year, the Wright State Astronomy Club is Dayton's only "Wright" astronomy club! We exist to educate ourselves and the Wright State community on the heavens above.

Our meetings this quarter are being held on Fridays at 2:15pm in 066 University Hall.

The event will feature the SLS lawyer and he will be addressing the legal matters that come from spring breaks like underage drinking, DUI, public intoxication, open container, and any other legal questions students may have.  Michael Booher, the SLS lawyer, will be contacting the Panama City judge and found out what the typical punishments are for that area.  There will also be a guest speaker as well as free food and beverages provided.
