SOBC FUNDING INFORMATION
There will be two (2) informative meetings held for student organizations wanting funding from SOBC for the 2009-2010 academic year. These meetings will be:
Wednesday February 18, 2009 from 4:00pm-5:00pm in 135 Allyn Hall
Thursday February 19, 2009 from 5:00pm to 6:00pm in 135 Allyn Hall
A representative from each group requesting funding must be present at one (1) of these meetings. Only student organizations present at either meeting will be considered for SOBC funding. Golden Key International Honour Society’s annual Ronald McDonald House Penny Drive
Golden Key International Honour Society is sponsoring our annual Ronald McDonald House Penny Drive from January 30- May 29. All the participating offices around campus are going to be competing to raise the most money to win a pizza party with Ronald McDonald himself. Also, any office that would like to decorate their own penny drive container is able to win a dessert party. The winners will be announced on Monday, June 6th. All proceeds will go to the Ronald McDonald House of Dayton If there are any questions, please contact Mackenzie Resor at vasko.2@wright.edu or Jenna Selhorst at selhorst.9@wright.edu. Mr. WSU
Delta Zeta Sorority is hosting its 7th annual Mr. WSU competition, a male scholarship pageant. Mr. WSU will also be an opportunity to showcase talent while contestants are given the opportunity to earn money to facilitate higher education at Wright State. All money raised by Mr. WSU will go to the Delta Zeta foundation. The foundation sponsors The House Ear Institute, Galluadet University, and The Painted Turtle Camp.
If you would like be a contestant and have a chance to win a $500 scholarship pick your application up today in the Student Union Box Office. Applications are due February 19th. The event will be on March 6th at 6:00 pm in the Apollo Room. Tickets will go on sale on February 23rd for $5 in the Student Union Box Office, otherwise they will be $10 at the door.
