COLLEGES AGAINST CANCER NEEDS YOUR HELP IN THE FIGHT AGAINST CANCER!

We are gearing up for the 2007 Wright State University Relay For Life, but there is still one thing missing...YOU! 

Relay For Life is the American Cancer Society's national and signature event to raise money for cancer research, programs, legislations, and education!  It is an event that Colleges Against Cancer is planning right here at Wright State University.  Our Relay For Life will begin on Friday, April 20 at 6pm and end on Saturday, April 21 at Noon.  It is held overnight to signify CANCER NEVER SLEEPS.  Teams of 10-15 people join together to walk through the journey and support each other through the FIGHT AGAINST CANCER.  There will be games, food, and entertainment all night long! 

Join us in our Team Captains Meeting held Monday, January 29th at 8:00pm in E103 Student Union. Or, if you would like to be on the planning committee, join is at 9:00 pm in E103 Student Union.  Whatever your commitment is...we need YOU!

ROTARACT CLUB MEETINGS

We are a student group of rotary international. We pride ourselves on service above self. We also look to develop leadership skills in our members. Many opportunities are available to Rotaract through rotary. Rotary sponsors exchange student programs. Through Rotaract one of our members will be traveling to Alaska over spring break to see the northern lights and even take part in a dog sled race.

KUUMBA BLACK ARTS FESTIVAL

               The Kuumba Black Arts Festival is a huge celebration of African culture. It celebrates the wonders of human creativity, particularly in African   culture, through a variety of human expression, such as music, art, dance, and poetry. This year help celebrate the history of music through singers, artists, and a choir performance.

                Doors open at 5:30 pm, event starts at 6:00 pm.  WSU students and faculty get in FREE, $5 for non-WSU guests.  Also enjoy AUTHENTIC African food!

Whether you're a novice DDR player or a dancing machine, you'll definitely want to check out DDR Mayhem.  Enter one of UAB's three tournaments (separated by difficulty level), and compete for our fabulous prizes.  Even if you have DDR dyslexia and do not wish to enter our tournament, we’ll have free play available for you at your leisure.  But, if nothing else, there will be free pizza and drinks.  Come on out and show us what you've got!

Tournament Details

The tournaments will be done in three difficulty levels: Novice, Moderate, and Dance Master.  Each student may register only for one of these three tournaments.  There is a different prize structure for each individual tournament.

6:00 pm - Novice tournament begins
7:00 pm - Moderate tournament begins
8:00 pm - Dance Master tournament begins

Registration for all three tournaments begins at 5:00 pm.
