STUDENT LEADERSHIP RECEPTION INFORMATION

The annual Student Leadership Reception will be Thursday, May 21, 2009 at 7:00 P.M., hosted by The Office of Student Activities in the Apollo Room.  We have streamlined the nomination form and process to make this easier for faculty, staff and student nominators.  If you have questions please contact, Elizabeth Beemer at beemer.3@wright.edu or at 775-5547.

  • Nominations are due NO LATER THAN April 17th, 2009 at 5:00 P.M.
  • Application form and essay is due NO LATER THAN April 30th, 2009 at 5:00 P.M.

COMPLETE THESE REQUIREMENTS TO REGISTER YOUR STUDENT ORGANIZATION FOR 2009 SCHOOL YEAR

SIGN UP FOR SESSION:  Presidents and Treasurers must come in to the Office of Student Activities 019 Student Union or call the Office of Student Activities, 775-5570 to sign up for the session they wish to attend since seating is limited at each.

ATTEND ONE SESSION:  President is required to attend one president training session

                                                Treasurer is required to attend one treasurer training session

                               

REGISTER YOUR ORGANIZATION:  FRIDAY, JUNE 19 at 5 p.m. is the FIRM registration deadline

All organizations must have completed president and treasurers training and correctly and totally completed their registration on OrgSync by Friday, June 19 at 5 p.m.

IF YOUR ORGANIZATION DOES NOT COMPLETE ALL OF THE ABOVE STEPS BY JUNE 19 AT 5 P.M., YOUR GROUP CANNOT PARTICIPATE IN "DO THE U" OR "FALL FEST."

MAY DAZE APPLICATIONS

May Daze applications are now available! 

Applications will be due Friday, April 10th at 5pm and will be available outside the UAB office, at the Office of Student Activities, and on the UAB website. 

Completed applications can be turned in to the Student Activities office or faxed to:  937-775-5573.

INTERNATIONAL YEAR OF ASTRONOMY

The Wright State University Astronomy Club would like to welcome

students, staff, and faculty to the International Year of Astronomy

2009!  The IYA celebrates 400 years since astronomer Galileo Galilei

GOLDEN KEY INTERNATIONAL HONOUR SOCIETY'S ANNUAL RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE PENNY DRIVE

Golden Key International Honour Society is sponsoring our annual Ronald McDonald House Penny Drive from January 30- May 29. All the participating offices around campus are going to be competing to raise the most money to win a pizza party with Ronald McDonald himself. Also, any office that would like to decorate their own penny drive container is able to win a dessert party. The winners will be announced on Monday, June 6th. 5K AIDS BENEFIT WALK/RUN 2009

Join the WSU School of Medicine AMSA Chapter in our 5th Annual 5k Walk/Run, proceeds benefiting local organizations, AIDS Resource Center and Miami Valley Positives 4 Positives.  Men's and Women's prizes by age category and all participants will be entered in a raffle for additional prizes. A fun, comic Opera or Operetta!  Sung in English – a great beginner’s Opera!  Large cast of up-and-coming performers!  Open to students, faculty, and staff!  $15 Tickets!  Purchase ticket vouchers now at the Student Union Box Office by April 2.

Ticket includes:

 FREE RTA bus ride to and from the performance (bus leaves from RTA bus stop in front of the Student Union)

FREE pre-performance reception at Boston Stoker on 2nd Street (Seats will be assigned at the reception.  Must come to reception to redeem ticket voucher for show ticket.)

 Admission to The Merry Widow performance
