Kuumba Black Arts Festival: FILM CONTEST

Applications for the Kuumba Reels to Still, Capturing Culture Film Contest are now available at the University Activities Board office in 029 G Student Union and online at www.wright.edu/uab. There are three categories of competition: College, High School and Community.

Entries will be accepted November 1st through January 5th 2009. Don’t miss your big chance to have your work premiered for a public audience! Contact Kip Myers at kjust.7@gmail.com for more details.


STUDENT ORG TRAINING

If you are a student organization whose president and/or treasurer still needs to attend training, you still have two more opportunities. You MUST attend these trainings for your student organization to be registered!  The dates and locations of the sessions are as follows:

Presidents’ Training:

Monday, January 12th at 9:15am in 005 of the Library Annex

Tuesday, January 13th at 5:15pm in 005 of the Library Annex

(Presidents, you will need your Wings login information handy as this will be an online session)

Treasurers’ Training:

Monday, January 12th at 9:15am in E163 Student Union

Tuesday, January 13th at 5:15pm in E163 Student Union

FEEDING THE 5,000: OPENING SERVICE
Tuesday, January 6th

7:00 – 9:00 p.m.

109 Oelman Hall

Feeding the 5,000 is the Christian Student Union’s main project for the winter quarter and we are opening it up with a time of prayer and worship to Jesus Christ as we hope that he will open up the hearts of many on campus his gospel. We are praying that many people will be reached throughout the quarter, wherever they may be, and know that the Lord will show them that he is the one way, truth and life. We are praying that many will come to know him and turn their lives in a direction that will be honoring him.

FOUNDERS DAY PARTY

Come join the men of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Incorporated celebrate their 98th year of existence.  The party will be in the union from 9pm to 2am.   $5 before 10:30.  Everyone must be at the party before 12 or you will not get in.
