The 21st Annual Student Recognition Reception was held May 25, 2006 to recognize
outstanding student leaders and
organizations in seven award categories.

Katrina Frazee, Graduate Assistant for The Office of Student Activities, and Dayron Miles, Treasurer for the Black Student Union, compared notes prior to the opening of the awards.

Dayron Miles served as host of the ceremony.
The Swing Dance Club opened the event with a demonstration.
Dr. Rick Danals, Director of Student Activities, introduced the Innovation Award for Outstanding Student Organization.

Heather Reeder, Peer Leadership Consultant Team Leader, presented the Emerging Student Leader Award to Timothy Kovalcik.
Homecoming King Perry Harris and Queen Juanita Brent presented the Advanced Leader Award to Vruddhi Chosky.
Shamon Milner, Graduate Assistant in The Office of Student Activities, presented the winner of the Student Organization Amazing Race.
Tim Leger, American Institute for Aeronautics and Astronautics, accepted the $1000 check from Milner and Danals for outstanding performance in the Amazing Race.
Ms. Kathy Morris, Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs and Enrollment Services, presented the Outstanding Senior Leader Awards to Abigail Nitz, Michelle Sarmiento, Bethany Andrezjewski and Angelica Clark.
