Campus Life

Student Organizations

Attending Wright State University–Lake Campus is about making the most of your life as a student. When you get involved, you'll have fun, develop your leadership abilities, acquire skills you'll use after college. Professional networking, service opportunities, and résumé-building are just a few of the added benefits of campus engagement.

Did you know? Students involved on campus are more likely to graduate on time, tend to receive higher grades, and generally feel more satisfied with their college experience.

Our list of student clubs and organizations is always evolving with the changing interests of students. Are you interested in academics, athletics, socializing, community service, networking, or personal development? There's a good chance that a student organization exists that aligns with your area of study or hobbies. Getting involved is easy! Log in to Engage, the student organization portal, and contact any clubs or organizations that match your interests.

How do I get involved?

Getting involved is easy! Attend the Campus-Community Connection Fair, an involvement event hosted at the beginning of the Fall Semester. Many of the Lake Campus clubs/organizations and engagement entities have booths where you can meet members and learn what they do. In addition, you’ll find other paid and service opportunities from many community organizations and businesses.

Log into Engage to learn more about current, registered clubs and organizations at the Lake and Dayton Campuses.

Plus, check your Wright State email and follow Wright State University—Lake Campus on social media for regular updates and announcements regarding involvement opportunities with student organizations, the Alumni Association, student employment/internships, athletics, faculty research, diversity initiatives committee, and more!

If you don't see the one you were looking for, why not start your own club or organization?

How do I start a club or organization?

Contact Abby Bushman at abby.bushman@wright.edu or 419-586-0392 to schedule a meeting. Before the meeting, you'll need to have at least two officers, a president, and treasurer, as well as secured a faculty/staff advisor for your proposed club/organization. You will also need to establish a well-written constitution and by-laws. Read more about the benefits of participating in a student organization in the student handbook

What is Engage?

Members of student organizations and clubs use Engage to manage their activities and access necessary forms. This portal also offers ways to connect and communicate with peers, store files/forms, photos, records, and other information, manage calendars, and much more. Any Wright State student can log in with their Campus Username (w000abc) and Password. From there, you'll find several important resources and tools to assist with your campus involvement journey.
