  • What times are the Food Pantry open?

    The Food Pantry will be open on the following days/times:

    • Wednesday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
    • Thursday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
    • Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

    If the pantry is closed but you are still in need of food, please contact 937-260-0167.

  • Why does Wright State need a food pantry for students?

    During times of economic instability, students may become financially stressed and lack access to basic resources. These students may be non-traditional students, students with children, or other students facing crisis situations.

  • Who can use the food pantry?

    The food pantry is open to any WSU student enrolled in classes for the current term.

  • Where is the food pantry located?

    The pantry is located in 055 Student Union.

  • How does the pantry work?

    Students in need of emergency food assistance should visit the pantry during open hours and a staff member, volunteer, or student worker will be there to assist. Students will be asked to show a photo ID, verify their University ID number, and fill out a short form. It is preferred students schedule an appointment ahead of time by using the following link:

  • How many times can I use the food pantry?

    Students can shop twice a month as the pantry is meant to be a supplemental service to students' food needs. If you are in an emergency and need to shop more than the allotted amount of times, please call or text 937-260-0167.

  • How do faculty and staff make referrals to the food pantry?

    Wright State faculty and staff members encountering students who could benefit from emergency food services may send them directly to the pantry during open hours. When the pantry is closed, faculty and staff may contact Student Advocacy and Wellness at 937-260-0167.
