Anastasia is a biomedical engineering major and an aspiring physician with a passion in health care, and rights for underrepresented minorities and immigrants. As a first-generation immigrant, born in Thessaloniki, Greece, she is fluent in both Greek and English. She eventually hopes to apply to Medical School and specialize in surgery. She is the current member and President of the Multicultural Association of Pre-Health Students (2017-2019) and has reestablished a mentorship program between Wright State students and medical students from Boonshoft Medical School. She has experience in biomedical engineering, cardiovascular engineering, and robotics engineering research and is currently working on a task analysis based on robotically assisted hysterectomies with physicians at Miami Valley Hospital. Anastasia is also certified as a medical scribe and a phlebotomist, and she enjoys volunteering at free clinics. She was previously a tutor at WSU for general chemistry and biology.
