Continuous Registration Policy

Students who have been matriculated in SOPP must maintain continuous registration until all degree requirements have been met. This includes students who have completed all coursework, practica and internship, and who are solely involved in completing the professional dissertation. At minimum, students must be registered for one hour of graduate course credit per quarter. Students must also be registered for at least one hour of graduate credit during the quarter in which the oral defense of the dissertation is conducted.

Students must be registered and must pay tuition no later than the first day of each quarter. Those who fail to register and pay tuition by the fourteenth day of any quarter, as calculated relative to the university's academic calendar, will be dismissed from the program. It is the student's responsibility to remain informed of the university's academic calendar as well as all deadlines and procedures for registering and payment of tuition.
