The Clearinghouse
APPIC makes a clearinghouse available for programs that have slots that were not filled via the Match. There is also a Match News e-mail list. The Clearinghouse may include training slots that were not a part of the match. The Clearinghouse is generally open until the following fall.
You will know on the Friday prior to Match Day whether you matched to a training slot. If you did not match, you should meet with Dr. Winfrey immediately on Friday to consider options for follow-up. Consult www.appic.org/clearinghouse/index.html for further information.
Other Clearinghouses
The Association of Counseling Centers Training Agencies operates a separate clearinghouse. Students interested in sites in Canada may contact the president of the Canadian Council of Professional Psychology Programs for assistance.
