Clinical Training

The School's competency-based curriculum is a five-year plan that includes four years of course work (including three years of clinical practica), followed by a year-long predoctoral internship. To be approved for internship, students must demonstrate basic competency in each of the core areas on the Comprehensive Clinical Examination. Students in the first, second, and third years of the program also participate in Practice Tutorial. SOPP is proud to be the home of an APA accrediated predoctoral internship and an APPIC member postdoctoral program. This Clinical Training section covers policies and procedures for these aspects of the program and other areas managed by the Associate Dean for Clinical Training and Psychological Services.
