Predoctoral Internship Program
Fact Sheet
Stipend: $18,000:
Benefits: Liberal time is allowed for vacation, illness,
research, and professional development. The time allotment is as
follows:
- Vacation (up to 5 days/year)
- Personal and Professional Development (up to 2 days/year)
- Sick (Up to 3 days/year)
Interns cannot use unspent leave time to leave internship prior
to mid-August.
Interns may use all university and school facilities available
for faculty and staff (i.e. libraries, computer facilities, recreational
facilities, etc.). Prepaid medical insurance is also provided.
Interns are required to purchase their own malpractice/professional
liability insurance.

Application Procedures
Candidates must be enrolled in a doctoral program in clinical or
counseling psychology. Enrollment in an APA accredited doctoral
program is required. All formal coursework and comprehensive exams
for the doctorate must be completed.
The internship program prefers to interview the final pool of candidates
in the first three Wednesdays of January. You will be contacted
for an interview if you are in this final pool by mid to late December.
Phone interviews will be granted for rare extenuating circumstances
that prohibit a personal visit. The internship program is a member
of APPIC and follows all of its guidelines regarding application,
interviewing, and notification procedures.
The Wright State University School of Professional Psychology
will be participating in the matching program. Applicants must request
an applicant agreement and information form to be completed and
returned to the National Matching Services.
This internship agrees to abide by the APPIC policy that no person
at this training facility will solicit, accept, or use any ranking-related
information from any intern prior to Match Day.
