Semester Transition Advising
Message to Undergraduate Students About General Education Courses
Semesters Advising Semesters Portal Page Banner

Good morning to all and Greetings from the Office of the Provost.
Once again, I am sending this email to keep everyone informed regarding our progress toward semesters in Fall, 2012.
As repeatedly suggested, I encourage everyone to visit the WSU Semester Website:
http://www.wright.edu/semesters/
There is a lot of information on this website describing what is happening and what students can do to ensure the successful completion of their degrees.
If you anticipate being a "transitional student," a student who will begin on the quarter system and graduate on the semester system, one specific way you can help yourself is to see if it is possible to finish the entire General Education curriculum in the quarter system. There is a new GE curriculum, which will be implemented in Fall, 2012, called the Wright State Core. While it is certainly possible to start GE on Quarters and finish in Semesters the two systems are somewhat different. It would, therefore, be easier to have the entire General Education Curriculum completed before Fall, 2012.
The current General Education requirements can be found at:
http://www.wright.edu/admissions/gen_ed/
If you think you can complete this requirement before fall, 2012, you should schedule an appointment with your academic advisor and speak with him or her about this.
If you have any questions, please submit them on the semesters transition web page.
Thank you
