Volunteers
After hosting several Science Olympiad invitationals, Wright State is preparing to host the Science Olympiad National Tournament on May 17–18, 2013. Wright State's Science Olympiad effort is nonprofit and all our support is provided by volunteers. We rely on donations of time, money, and supplies and we are in need of many energetic and interested volunteers to help make this prestigious tournament a success.
We are looking for volunteers to fill a variety of roles across several days. While the tournament officially begins on Friday evening, May 17, teams will be arriving from across the United States beginning Wednesday, May 15 and some will not depart until Sunday, May 19. Volunteers of all backgrounds and experiences are welcome and we will do our best to match you to an activity where you can contribute in a meaningful way.
Volunteers will direct students around campus, usher at the Opening and Awards Ceremonies, assist competition event supervisors and help with registration, check-in, and lunch delivery. All volunteers receive a free T-shirt and the experience of watching over 1,800 of the nation's top student scientists compete in exciting math, science, and engineering events.
