From the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs
Fall 1995 Vol. 27, No. 1
The Office of Research and Sponsored Programs (RSP) invites new
faculty and those just getting started in research to an
orientation seminar that will introduce the various services available
in our office. To accomodate the schedules of faculty, the seminar
will be held on Wednesday, October 18, 2:00 to 4:30 p.m. and
Thursday, October 19, 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in W169 Student
Union (formerly 155B/C University Center).
This seminar will answer:
- How do I locate external funding opportunities for which I am eligible?
- Does the University have funds for research and scholarly projects?
- What Federal and University regulations affect my proposal?
- What must I know about administering external funds?
- How will RSP help?
- What other campus resources impact on sponsored programs?
- How do I arrange for these services?
A time for informal discussion has been scheduled for answering your
questions. In addition, RSP staff will be demonstrating their database
that lists faculty research interests. Your name and interests will be
added to this database at your request.
Please feel free to attend all or a part of the seminar. If you
plan to attend, please contact Jan Power (Ext. 2425).
