Use of Sponsor Name in Consent Forms
The WSU IRB believes that overuse of the name of a study sponsor may constitute unwarranted advertising of the sponsor
and or its products. Accordingly, the sponsor name should only appear in an introductory section (i.e., to identify the company
as the sponsor of the study) and in the section dealing with the responsibility of the sponsor for injuries to subjects. In all other
sections of the Consent Form the phrase "the sponsor" should be used in lieu of the actual sponsor name.
