Operations Management Seniors Assist Computer Science Corporation (CSC) with Nationwide Rollout.

Three senior Operations Management majors worked with Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) for their capstone project in MS 495.  Chad Wynkoop, Jeff Boeckman, and Jerry Pfister worked with Brian Welch, Curt Driggers and other CSC staff to determine the requirements for scheduling the rollout of the ECSS (Expeditionary Combat Support System) to 100 locations including 297 air force bases between 2010 and 2012.  ISOM Corporate Advisory Board member Aaron Sigritz arranged for the outstanding learning opportunity for the Operation Management students.  The Wright State team was responsible for building a black box tool, CSC Deployment Planning Strategy Tool, to assist in prioritizing and sequencing the deployment of the ECSS application to over 100 locations across the world.  They developed the tool using Excel and Visual Basic.  After testing and documenting, the project was presented to CSC representatives on March 12.  Attached is a picture showing Kevin Kelley, Vice-President and Program Manager of CSC, presenting a check to
the Wright State team and faculty advisors Barbara Denison and George Polak.
