Charles Hartmann, Professor of Law, has been selected to lead the Department of Management for the Raj Soin College of Business. In his new role, Hartmann will be responsible for the offerings of the undergraduate and graduate programs of the department including the curricula for human resources, leadership, innovation and change.

Since joining Wright State in 1970, Hartmann has developed and taught courses in the legal, regulatory, political and social environment of business. His research in the economic analysis of law is widely published in the legal and business literature. His most recent publications include medical malpractice tort reform in Ohio and evolving medical-legal aspects of doctor-patient communication.

Hartmann is a Fellow of The Society for Advanced Legal Studies (UK) and a member of the American Bar Association and the Missouri Bar Association. He holds an A.B in Economics from Washington University in St. Louis and a J.D. from the University of Missouri, Columbia.
