At Wright State’s Raj Soin College of Business, we foster a philosophy where students learn from faculty, faculty learn from students, students learn from each other, and we all learn from the business community.

That’s why student and community advisory boards are so important in helping us to continually improve all we do. Our advisory boards provide direct input to the Dean, Department Chairs and Faculty.

Here are just a few examples of how advisory boards play a vital role:

• The Dean’s Corporate Advisory Board - This broad spectrum of leaders in business and government assist the College in long-term strategic planning and program development.
• The Dean’s Student Advisory Board - provides an open forum for innovation and changes, brings visibility and credit to the college in the community and reaches out to prospective and new students.
• The Accountancy Department Advisory Board - collaborates with faculty and students in a variety of areas including career mentoring, developing new programs and scholarship support for students.
• The Information Systems and Operations Research Board - takes an active role in helping to design and launch new programs such as the Executive Master’s in Logistics and Supply Chain Management.
• The Marketing Department Advisory Board - fosters connections with students, businesses, alumni and the community. In addition, the Department’s Student Advisory Board provides input for improving the curriculum and services to students.
