Thirty-eight male and female swimmers and divers are affected by the elimination of the swiming and diving programs, which have been in existence since 1974.
Wright State, however, is still eligible to remain a division I program, as it maintains the 14-program minimum.
The students have been given the option of remaining on scholarship if they stay enrolled at the University.
The condition of the 44-year-old Natatorium was a factor in the decision to eliminate the program.
