Where, oh where, have my youthful days gone?

From my conception to current didn't take long.

The journey eventful, the path uphill and down -

A smile on my face, sometimes a frown.

The time now to focus on memories of joys -

Laughter the best medicine to cover aches' noise.

So what to do with my earthly remains -

Be buried in dirt or spread o'er the plains.

So what to do when the bells toll for me?

A home has been prepared already, you see.

Like a vine ripened pea in the covering of the pod -

I will have shelled out and gone home to God.
