Qualtrics Web-based Survey Software
Qualtrics is a Web-based survey software which has been licensed by Wright State to facilitate data collection for faculty research and to support teaching at Wright State University. The survey tool is available for use by all Wright State faculty (current and Emeritus), staff and students.
How can I use Qualtrics?
If you are a current Wright State faculty, staff, or student, you are eligible for a Qualtrics account. See "How do I create an account?" below for instructions. Alumni, and Retirees are not eligible to use the Qualtrics survey tool. However, individual requests will be considered and free trial accounts are available from the vendor. Creating a free trial Qualtrics account is accomplished via Qualtrics' web site (www.Qualtrics.com).
How do I create an account?
- Log on at wright.qualtrics.com.
- Enter your campus user name and password.
- If you are a first time user, you will be prompted to update your account.
Note that you are limited to the creation of only one Qualtrics account.

How can I get answers to my questions about Qualtrics?
Most questions can be answered from the information on the Qualtrics Survey University page, or the Qualtrics FAQs. Alternately, you may wish to contact Qualtrics via email (email@example.com), or via phone (1-800-340-9194).
Qualtrics responds to telephone calls or emails in the order in which they are received and according to the relative importance as reasonably determined by Qualtrics. Phone or email assistance from Qualtrics is available during their normal business hours, 9:00 am – 8:00 pm (Eastern Time) on weekdays (Monday through Friday), except holidays. Limited email support is available after hours and during weekends.
While all survey support is provided by Qualtrics, questions regarding account access and permissions may be directed to your area representative:

Before distributing a survey using the Qualtrics tool, remember that your survey may require a prior review and approval from Wright State University’s Office of Research and Sponsored Programs. Additionally, the office may have resources available to aid you in constructing your survey. Further, your survey may be subject to review as a project involving research on human subjects, etc. Take time to visit the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs for helpful information and proper research clearance.
