Transcripts

For ALL Transcript Requests:
  1. Payment is required at the time the request is made.
  2. Check to see if you have a hold:
    • Log onto WINGS Express,* click “Student and Financial Aid,” then "Registration and Records,” then “View Holds.” (Contact information for the department that placed the hold will be provided.)
  3. Follow specific instructions below for your preferred method of ordering a transcript.
  4. You will have to complete a separate request for each delivery address and method of delivery. (Example: To request your transcript be sent to your home and your employer you must complete two separate requests.)

How to Order

Official transcripts must be requested by the student. Requests can be submitted by web, mail, fax or in person at Raider Connect. Due to privacy concerns, transcript requests cannot be submitted via telephone or E-mail. Transcripts can be sent via U.S. mail, overnight via express service, and by fax. Wright State also transmits official transcripts electronically to other participating Ohio colleges and universities.

Online

  1. Log onto WINGS Express* – click on “Student and Financial Aid”, click on “Registration and Records”, click on “Request Official Academic Transcript”, and complete your request.  Once your transcript has been issued, per your instructions, we are unable to reissue an official transcript without another request and additional payment.
  2. The payment portion is required for submission of your request.  Payment may only be made in the form of credit card.  Wright State University will accept credit card payment by Discover, Visa or MasterCard.  You will receive an email verifying that your payment was processed.
  3. To view the status of your request(s) log onto WINGS Express – click on “Student and Financial Aid”, click on “Registration and Records”, click on “Status of Official Transcript Requests”, and choose the date the request was ordered.  The “Sent Date” reflects the date the transcript was mailed, faxed, or available for pick up.

*Note: If you do not know your University ID Number and pin number, please contact Computing and Telecommunications (CaTS) office at 937-775-4827.

Mail

  1. Carefully complete all sections of the Transcript request form (PDF). Once your transcript has been issued, per your instructions, we are unable to reissue an official transcript without another request and additional payment.
  2. Include payment in the form of credit card, check or money order made payable to Wright State University. Please do not send cash.
  3. If paying by credit card, please complete the bottom section of the transcript request form with your Discover, Visa, or MasterCard credit card information.
  4. Mail the completed form with your payment to:

Fax

Transcripts will say VOID when faxed. Faxed transcripts may not be accepted by a third-party recipient.  It is the responsibility of the student to verify acceptable delivery methods with the recipient.

  1. Carefully complete all sections of the Transcript request form (PDF). Once your transcript has been issued, per your instructions, we are unable to reissue an official transcript without another request and additional payment.
  2. Include payment in the form of credit card.
  3. Please complete the bottom section of the transcript request form with your Discover, Visa, or MasterCard credit card information for payment.
  4. Fax your request to 937-775-5597.

In Person

You will have to complete a separate request for each delivery address and method of delivery. (Example: To request your transcript be sent to your home and your employer you must complete two separate requests.)

  1. Using any campus computer (computers are available for general use on the first and second floors of the student union) Log onto WINGS Express – click on “Student and Financial Aid”, click on “Registration and Records”, click on “Request Official Academic Transcript”, and complete your request.  Indicate “pick up” for the delivery method.  Your transcript will be available for pick up in Raider Connect, located in the Student Union.  Once your transcript has been issued, per your instructions, we are unable to reissue an official transcript without another request and additional payment.
  2. The payment portion is required for submission of your request.  Payment may only be made in the form of credit card.  Wright State University will accept credit card payment by Discover, Visa or MasterCard.  You will receive an email verifying that your payment was processed.

Pickup

  1. Be prepared to show picture ID (Wright1 Card or driver’s license). Some schools or employers will not accept transcripts issued to the student. Before ordering, please verify with the recipient that this is acceptable. Once your transcript has been issued per your instructions, we are unable to reissue an official transcript without another request and additional payment.
  2. If you want someone else to pick up the transcript, please provide written authorization with your transcript request, naming the person who will pick up the transcript. That individual will be asked for their photo ID for verification.

Cost

Standard Processing

Cost is $6 per transcript and processing may take up to 2 business days in addition to normal U.S. Postal Service delivery time.

Express Mail

Cost is $20 per transcript requested. Requests must be received by 2:30 pm to guarantee overnight delivery by Federal Express. Please note: The recipient’s street address is required. Federal Express will NOT deliver to a PO Box.

Did You Know…?

  1. Many schools prefer to have us send transcripts directly to them. Some schools or employers may not consider a transcript to be “official” if the transcript has been in a student’s possession or if the transcript has been faxed. Please verify with the recipient what is considered acceptable before placing your order.
  2. Once your transcript request has been issued per your instructions, we are unable to reissue an official transcript without another written request and additional payment.
  3. Transcript requests cannot be processed for students who have outstanding charges on their university account. To see if you have a hold, log onto WINGS Express, click on “Student and Financial Aid,” select “Registration and Records,” and then select “View Holds”. Contact information for the department that placed the hold will be provided.
