The rehabilitation services program prepares rehabilitation coordinators who match the special needs of persons with available resources. Rehabilitation specialists are trained to assess individual strengths and needs, and they are taught to understand the total impact of a disability upon the individual. Major responsibilities of rehabilitation service coordinators include individual skill assessment, training/education options, job placement services, independent living assistance, and social services coordination.
- The flexible curriculum enables students to take courses that reflect their special interests.
- All rehabilitation majors must complete 400 clock hours of practical experience at a human service agency.
