Management information systems are the computer-based systems that provide information and handle the daily activity of management for planning, organizing, and controlling an organization. The MIS program is designed to provide graduates with the knowledge, understanding, abilities, and attitudes necessary to function effectively in the area of MIS for lifelong professional development.

  • MIS curriculum requirements are based on the Information Systems model designed by the Association for Information Technology Professionals (AITP), Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), and the Association for Information Systems (AIS).
  • Students have opportunities to solve real-world business problems in upper-level courses.
