Through physical education, youth and adults learn the physical skills needed to perform daily work, train and condition to maintain health, and practice skills for leisure-time activities.

  • The health and physical education programs lead to a Bachelor of Science in Education degree. Multi-age (Pre-K–12) Ohio teaching licenses in Health Education and Physical Education are recommended for eligible candidates.
  • Non-teaching concentrations are offered in community health, sports science, and wellness studies.
  • Jobs outside the education arena exist in community agencies, such as the American Red Cross, YMCA, YWCA, hospitals, or municipal recreation departments.
