Electrical Engineering
Program Type:
Major
College or School:
Electrical engineering integrates materials, devices, components, and machines for design, manufacture, and use of electronic products and systems. As a result of rapid technological advances in electronics, the demand for competent electrical engineers is very strong. The electrical engineering major is accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET).
- Students desiring to complement electrical engineering skills with an increased emphasis on computer science may choose a minor in computer science for engineers and scientists.
- Electrical engineering majors have access to a wide range of state-of-the-art computer systems and work in small groups in over 20 courses to solve real-world problems in electrical engineering.
