• RTA Service

    RTA buses run from downtown Dayton to Wright State and from downtown to many other destinations. RTA passes and schedules are available at the Bookstore182 Student Union. Schedules are also available at the Information Center on the first floor of the Student Union. The RTA's phone number is (937) 425-8300.

  • Greene CATS

    The Greene CATS provide public transit service in Greene and Montgomery counties, and is open to the general public. Anyone is eligible to ride the system, and wheelchar service is offered. All fares are exact change. Tokens are available for purchase at the Greene CATS office located at 571 Ledbetter Road, Xenia, OH 45385. Services offered are demand-responsive and flex-service.

    The demand responsive service is curb-to-curb and changes daily, depending on demand. Greene County is the primary service area for the demand responsive public transit service. Service is also available to and from Montgomery county. The demand responsive fare is $1.50 per person each way and $3.00 per family within Greene County, and $6.00 per person each way. Service to Montgomery county is $12.00 per family.

    The flex-service travels a constant route (with flag stops). Flex-Service is 50 cents each way per person and $1.00 per family. If you are within ¾ of a mile from the flex-service route, the flex-service can deviate to come to you. To request such a deviation, please call Scheduling at (937) 562-6466 or 877-227-2287; Fairborn residents call (937) 426-1779 ext. 6466 by noon the business day before the day you need service.

    Coming Soon:

    The Service #60 Greene CATS will offer enhanced demand responsive service in the Fairborn-Wright State-northern Beavercreek corridor. The Service #60 bus will end its nightly run at Xenia Towne Square in Xenia. The hours are Monday-Friday 6 a.m.-1 a.m., with no major holidays. Fares on the service are $1.50 each way, with a maximum of $3 per family. There is no extra charge when transferring between any Greene CATS services. There is no extra charge to drop off or pick up a child at day care while using Greene CATS to go to or from somewhere else.
