           Mammoth Cave Expedition - May 7-9, 2010

The course “Introduction to Cave and Karst Systems (EES 199) was offered during this spring quarter 2010 at WSU, with funding from the National Science Foundation and in conjunction with WSU OSAA/RAD.  The    course consisted of three, three-hour classroom sessions covering an introduction to cave geology, geology careers and current accessibility issues in the geology curriculum.  In addition, the course concluded with a three day, two nights trip to Hamilton Valley Field Station (Mammoth Cave Area) during which time the students participated in group activities related to the course and the research study.
