Time Session
7:45–8:20 a.m. Check-In and Continental Breakfast, Student Union or Student Success Center

Receive your personalized Orientation packet and schedule. A continental breakfast buffet will be available.

8:30 a.m.

Welcome
Welcome and review of the day’s schedule.

Orientation Group One
This interactive session with Orientation mentors prepares you for the transition to Wright State and gives you an opportunity to meet other members of the Class of 2023.

Computing and Telecommunications Services (CaTS) Training
Review your important university credentials and when to use them, learn about technology platforms available to you, and become familiar with technology services.

Academic Transition
University life is different from high school academics. This session will highlight the skills you need for success in the classroom and introduce you to academic success services and first-year programs.

Orientation Group Two
Your Orientation group will reconnect and you will receive tips on course scheduling and what’s next in your journey.

Housing, Dining, and More
Learn about campus life and get an overview of housing and dining options for both residential and commuter students.

RaiderConnect
RaiderConnect is your one-stop for all services relating to financial aid, scholarships, registration, and student accounts. Learn how to view and accept your financial aid award, pay your bill, and navigate your student academic record.

Lunch
The Union Market food court offers many food options. Your meal is compliments of Wright State University.

College Information Session
Academic colleges will discuss the majors and programs they offer and highlight services and support provided to students.

Orientation Advising and Course Registration Overview
Get an overview of the Orientation advising and course registration process.

1:30–4:30 p.m.

Orientation Advising and Course Registration
You will meet academic advisors and register for your Fall Semester courses.

Resource Fair
Campus and community services representatives are available to share information and answer questions about on- and off-campus support services and opportunities,
including student activities and organizations. Information on campus housing and housing tours will be available. RaiderConnect staff will assist you with financial aid and your billing account.

ID Distribution and Checkout
Have your student ID picture taken and check out with the Orientation staff before leaving to ensure that you have completed all of your Orientation tasks. You will also have
the opportunity to complete and review your Required Acknowledgments with your family members.

You will get an overview of the Orientation advising and course registration process.

Student Success
This is a discussion on how to support your student during their transition from high school classes to university academics. This session will provide information on the skills your student will need to be successful in the classroom and introduce academic success services and first-year programs.

Transitions: How New College Students Become Successful College Students
This exploration and discussion is about the changes parents and family members can expect during the transition to college. Tips on how you can support your student and provide them with the tools and resources to make them a successful college student.

Parents and Family Orientation Groups
You have a chance to meet other parents and family members and to ask questions in a small group setting. Learn about student life from current students and staff. Seasoned parents and family members will share their wisdom on what worked for them.
