Parking and Transportation
Parking and Transportation is committed to providing all members of the Wright State University community with the best possible solutions for getting to and around campus easily. We can assist students with parking permits and locations, car pool information, campus shuttle information, public transportation information, and ticket appeals.

Purchasing a Parking Permit
A Wright State University parking permit is required to park in all Main Campus parking lots. Commuter Students may purchase a Commuter (C) or Nutter Center Park and Ride Permit (N).
Once you attend Orientation and are registered for classes, you may purchase a parking permit online through the Parking Services feature on WINGS under the Academic tab.
Online transactions may be paid with Visa, MasterCard or Discover, bank account checks, or by adding the parking permit fee to your Bursar Student Tuition Account. Parking permits are not sold at the Parking and Transportation department office window.
Your permit is mailed to you before the beginning of the quarter. Please allow 7 days for mailing, Parking and Transportation accepts payment via check, Debit Card, Discover, MasterCard, Visa, or Wright1 Card.
In addition to purchasing a parking permit, you may manage other parking needs on Parking Services such as appealing or paying citations, adding a new or canceling an old license plate number, and changing your address or email information.
Parking Information for First-Year Students
Wright State University allows all freshmen students to bring cars to campus. A campus parking permit is required to park in all main campus lots. Only residents with a valid residential community parking permit may park in resident parking. First-year, incoming Freshman, who live on campus, must purchase a Park and Ride Permit and park in Raider Lot 20.

- Commuter students may purchase a C parking permit, valid in any parking lot with signs located at the entrance designating student parking is available within that lot. Parking spaces painted white designates the commuter student spaces. Alternatively, commuter students may purchase a Park and Ride Permit valid in Nutter Center lot 8.
- First-year Freshmen, Resident Students living in Hamilton Hall, The Woods, or Honors communities must purchase a Park and Ride permit and park in Raider Lot 20, located approximately one mile from their residence communities. When you need to park in your community, please use the 30-minute loading and unloading parking spaces located in residential community lots.
- Visitor Parking is not available in residential community lots. Visitors may park free in Visitor Lot 2 near the Student Union or pick up a daily or overnight visitor permit, which allows visitors to park in Lot 4 or 6 commuter spaces. Visitor permits are available at the Visitor Lot 2 booth on Monday through Thursday, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., and on Friday, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Open parking is permitted in all main campus unrestricted parking spaces after 4 p.m. on Friday, and any time on Saturday and Sunday.
Shuttle Service
Free shuttle service is provided Monday through Friday when classes are in session during fall, winter, and spring quarters.
Shuttle stops are located at the Raider Lot 20, Lot 11 Millett Hall, Nutter Center, in front of the Student Union, and campus residential communities. Schedules are available online, at the Parking and Transportation office, or on the shuttles. Campus shuttles operate from campus to Park and Ride Lots from 7:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Shuttle service starts at 6:46 a.m. until 6:51 p.m. in resident communities.
The Wright State University Police Department provides a Safety Escort Service from Raider Lot 20 to the Residential Communities, from 10 p.m. until 2:50 a.m., Monday through Thursday, and from 7 p.m. to 2:50 a.m. on Sunday.
General Parking Information
Complete shuttle schedules, visitor and parking policy, is available on the Parking and Transportation website. To order your permit, appeal fines, and update your account information at Parking Services or call (937) 775-5690, Monday through Thursday, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., and until 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
All persons operating motorized vehicles and bicycles on campus are responsible for complying with the Wright State University Wright Way Parking Policy 3601, and the vehicle laws of the State of Ohio, Greene County, and City of Fairborn.
In addition to purchasing your WSU main campus-parking permit, disabled individuals may contact the Office of Disability Services for information about and assistance with obtaining a state issued handicap-parking permit.
