Get ready for the excitement of First Weekend 2011!

First Weekend is a program designed for all students new to Wright State University. First Weekend assists new students with adjustment to college, achieving academic success, personal development, finding your classes, and making friends. Plus, it definitely is a hit when it comes to starting your social life at Wright State.

Led by energetic First Weekend team leaders, you will interact with small groups of incoming students, talking about life, academic successes, and what to expect in your first few weeks of classes.

Whether you are living on campus or off, come have fun and learn a lot along the way!

College Academic Open House is your opportunity to really get to know those who will be learning from and with. You will evaluate majors, connect with staff and faculty, review academic options, and prepare for a successful upcoming academic year. Freshman Convocation

We invite you and your family to attend this momentous occasion. Think of Convocation as the official moment that you become an active student at Wright State. You will witness the faculty in full academic dress and meet President Hopkins, Provost Angle, deans, and other members of the Wright State family.

Freshman Convocation Keynote Speaker: Eric Klein, Founder and CEO of CAN-DO (Compassion into Action Network-Direct Outcome Organization), virtualvolunteer.tv, and The CAN-DO Network.

Freshman Convocation is a formal assembly of Wright State University’s president, provost, deans, faculty, staff, new students, and parents who convene for the purpose of welcoming, celebrating, and recognizing our newest members of the Wright State University community.
