Welcome Week is truly that—a series of events that welcomes you to campus and invites you to become a part of life here at Wright State. Whether you are living on campus or off, or are a new student or returning student, we invite you to participate in the activities below!

Welcome Week Schedule of Events

Monday: September 5, 201

  • RCA Shopping Shuttle
    Noon–4 p.m.
    Residential Communities
    Enjoy free transportation to and from Meijer and the Mall at Fairfield Commons.

  • Floor Meetings for First Year Residential Students
    6–8 p.m.
    See your RA for additional information.

  • Boogie on the Bricks
    8 –11 p.m.
    The Quad
    The first dance of the year. Come on out and enjoy free beverages, pizza, prizes, and all the dancing you can do before school starts on Tuesday!

  • Wright Commitment Supply Drive
    All day
    Around campus
    Collection bins for school supplies will be distributed throughout campus. The collected items will go to Crayons to Classrooms. Bins will be located at The Hangar, ERC, Union Market, and the Office of Student Activities (019 Student Union).

  • Financial Aid Walk-Ins
    8:30 a.m.–5 p.m.

    Financial aid advisors are available on a walk-in basis.

  • Wright Commitment Supply Drive
    All day
    Around campus

    A casual meet and greet for incoming students. A student panel will answer questions.

  • Service-Learning Open House
    2–4 p.m.
    127 Allyn Hall
    An open house (with cookies!) for students interested in service-learning and in community service opportunities and programs at Wright State.

  • Student Affairs Collaborative Ice Cream Social
    3–4:30 p.m.
    Student Union, lower-level lobby
    Attend this ice cream social and check out the information tables. Located in the lobby area outside of Disability Services, Student Conduct, and Student Support Services.

  • Annual BIE Table Tennis
    3–5 p.m.

  • Honors Program Open House

    An open house for the University Honors Program.

    Attend this information session for African American students on substance abuse and HIV prevention.

  • Woods Walk-In Movie Night
    9–11 p.m.
    The Woods Basketball Court
    Hang out and watch a movie on an inflatable screen at the basketball court in The Woods residential area. Movie TBD.
