The FWI program assists new students with adjustment to college, achieving academic success, personal development, finding your classes, and making friends. Plus, it definitely is a hit when it comes to starting your social life at Wright State.
Led by energetic FWI Team Leaders, you will interact with small groups of incoming students to answer questions about student life, academic success, and what to expect in your first few weeks of classes.

The Freshman Plunge

The Freshman Plunge is an introduction to service opportunities involving Wright State and local organizations. This year, students will collect, sort, and assemble donated school supplies for Fairborn Primary School.
Items for donation will be collected from August 25 through September 6. Please drop off donations in the collection canisters in 210 Medical Sciences, the main entrance of the Student Union, and the side entrance of the Student Union (near Wright Cup).
Requested supplies to benefit Fairborn Primary School: 24-count thin Crayola Crayons, Fiskar scissors, large Elmers glue sticks, highlighters, tissues, wet wipes, 8-pack of large Washable Crayola Markers, broad or chisel tip Expo dry erase markers, zipping baggies (sandwich, quart, and gallon sizes), paper towels, rulers (12 inches with both inch and centimeter markings), plain yellow #2 pencils (24 pack), Post-It Notes, white Stadler erasers, backpacks without wheels, heavy duty plastic pocket folders (with pockets and prongs), 3"x5" lined index cards, hand sanitizers with pumps, and red grading pens or pencils
