Common Reading Program

The Common Reading Program is an essential piece of your First Year Experience at Wright State University. Through discussions of a common book during your first year, you will grasp a better understanding of what it means to read actively and critically, make judgments about the validity of what you read, and discuss challenging, sometimes conflicting, ideas.

by Greg Mortenson and David Oliver Relin

A true story of a man actually changing the world one school at a time. In this #1 New York Times bestseller, Greg Mortenson and journalist David Oliver Relin, recount the journey that led Mortenson from a failed 1993 attempt to climb Pakistan’s K2, the world’s second highest mountain, to successfully establish schools in some of the most remote regions of Afghanistan and Pakistan.
